Livelihood Support & Promotion of Small Community Infrastructure Programme (LACIP) is an integrated poverty reduction programme and is financially supported by the Federal Republic of Germany through KfW. The objective is to contribute to the improvement of public infrastructure allowing for better access and suitable usage by people living in selected project regions, access to income opportunities, political participation in the programme region and the stepping up of dialogue between government and citizens. PPAF is the lead implementing agency of LACIP through its Partner Organisations (POs).

LACIP I and LACIP II (2012-2022) have been successfully completed involving a financial outlay of EUR 41.5 million that has directly benefitted over 1 million individuals with 51% being women. The programme achieved its objectives by implementing small and large-scale Community Physical Infrastructure (CPI) schemes, improving Health and Education (H&E) facilities, raising the economic condition of local communities through Livelihood Enhancement and Protection (LEP) initiatives, and executing Disaster Preparedness and Mitigation (DPM) interventions. These actions were put into effect through the involvement of over 6,000 community organisations established under the Institutional Development component of LACIP, benefiting more than 118,000 households through programme participation.

To support the rehabilitation/reconstruction interventions following the 2022 in programme districts and adjacent areas, funds of EUR 9.5 million have been added to LACIP II extending the completion date to December 2026.
