From livelihood support programmes to projects focusing on renewable energy, each day PPAF continues striving to eliminate poverty through the country.

National Poverty
Graduation Programme

The National Poverty Graduation Programme (NPGP) is supported by the Government of Pakistan and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). The Programme aims at assisting the ultra-poor and very poor in graduating out of poverty on a sustainable basis. The Programme activities are planned to be implemented in 375 Union Councils of 23 districts across Pakistan.

Program for
Poverty Reduction

The Programme for Poverty Reduction (PPR) is focused on districts in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA and is being implemented in the field by 17 Partner Organisations. It aims to reduce poverty amongst the population of the selected areas through the creation of sustainable conditions of social and economic development.

Livelihood Support and Promotion of Small Community Infrastructure Program (LACIP)

The Livelihood Support and Promotion of Small Community Infrastructure (LACIP) was initiated by PPAF in 2012 with the financial support of the Federal Republic of Germany through KfW. It aims to improve general living conditions, reduce vulnerability to disasters and increase income-generating opportunities for the poor in 8 selected districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Hydropower and Renewable Energy Project (HRE)

PPAF has so far supported the implementation of more than 1,000 renewable energy (RE) projects of diverse types and various capacities. The goal here is to eradicate poverty by increasing access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy.

Interest Free Loan Programme

The Rs.3.5 billion Interest Free Loan (IFL) Programme targets districts with low socio-economic indicators, high food insecurity and social sector investment by PPAF. There are 45 districts receiving coverage under this programme through the work of 26 partner organisations.
