Dr. Kate Vyborny completed her D.Phil (Ph.D) in the Department of Economics at the University of Oxford, where she was affiliated with the Centre for the Study of African Economies. She has also worked on research and policy outreach on foreign aid, trade and development at the Center for Global Development and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, DC. Her research interests include how interventions by government and donors interact with local social and political context; public service delivery in developing countries; urban policies, particularly public transportation and land use; and women's empowerment.
