PhD in Integrated Water Resource Management (Australian National University (ANU), Australia, 2015), MS in Environmental Science (ANU, Australia, 2008) and a BS in Civil Engineering (BUET, Pakistan, 1993).
Dr. Arshad’s research interests include water economics, governance and policies, and water technology. His research and teaching involved investigating and building new integrated hydro-economic modelling tools and assessing relevant management options for groundwater projects in the Murray Darling Basin, Australia. This work was published in the open access “Water” journal in 2014. Dr Arshad is author and co-author of 10 peer reviewed journal papers, book chapters and conference papers.
Dr Arshad is co-founder and CEO of NEW Con. (NC) Consultancy, Consultants for Water and Environment, and undertaking work on management, policy analysis and infrastructure design of water supply and irrigation projects with UNDP, UNICEF, Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS, Quetta), Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund and University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar.
